Born on 16 December 1971, he began is careerer as a DJ in 1991, playing at [b]Tresor[/b] and [b]Turbine Club[/b] in Berlin, Germany .
He has won a string of awards, from 1998 until 2011 - he was nominated for, and won over 65 titles for his work as a DJ and music producer.
Many of the awards are from popular, well known UK dance music magazines, such as [b]"DJ"[/b], [b]"Ministry"[/b] (of Sound), [b]"Mixmag"[/b], and [b]"Muzik"[/b].
In 1999, the readers of DJ voted him as the "Best Music Maker".
Mixmag elected him as "Man of the year" and Muzik named him as "Leader of the Trance Nation".
Ministry voted him as the "Best international DJ". Readers of Muzik voted his regular 6-hour sets at the Sheffield club "Gatecrasher" as the "second best club night ever".
That same year at the Music Awards in London, he received the "Best international DJ award".
His hit singles "Another Way", "Tell Me Why (The Riddle)", and "We Are Alive" spent several weeks at number 1 on the German Dance charts.
He continuously moved-up in DJ’s annual list of the "Top 100 DJ´s worldwide", where he was voted as number 1 DJ of the world in 2005.
He filed for divorce in 2012 and has a relationship with his Colombian girlfriend since then.
