Toups Bebey is saxophonist, Multi-instrumentalist (keyboards, vocals, percussion ...) Composer, arranger and conductor Cameroonians.
Cameroonian parents, Toups Bebey was born in Paris' 13th arrondissement. He is the son of the famous Francis Bebey (Guitarist, writer, storyteller, artist complete). Toups, during his long career, met with many musical expressions and performed with artists as diverse as Julien Clerc, France Gall, Charlélie Couture, Terrorvision, Bernard Lubat, Salif Keita ... This odd-man-band (saxophone, percussion, keyboards, vocals ...) brought together four very different musicians as accomplices by their nationality by their training. Founded in 1996, the group has already recorded significant benefits (Montreux Jazz Festival 96 Festival de Jazz de Montreal 97 ...). Paris Africans mingled with his own compositions (Bicycle Africans, Desert Child, Back From Luenda ...) reinterpretations original Fela, Jimi Hendrix and Ornette Coleman. As confirmed their first album released in Buda Musique "Africans Bicycle", which has enjoyed a slew of laudatory judgments.
Toups Bebey is also the leader of the black incandescent brass band "Le Spirit Pan-African Brass Company".
